On the 2nd Amendment

Any idea or movement that looks to reduce liberty in favor of 'security' or 'safety' is generally absurd on all points. Security is no substitute for freedom.

As such, I find it odd that the issue of gun rights seems to get overlooked in this respect. Any principle argument made about, say, drugs could also be made about guns. I concede guns, as potentially lethal, deserve slightly more scrutiny, but not much.

Education makes all the difference in the world. Perhaps schools should teach a type of 'firearm education' class, where gun and gun safety can be taught, understood, and discussed.

Liberty for society shouldn't just be limited to 'speech.' An individual has a right to both liberty and life.

And, obviously, some protection for those rights.
